First let me introduce myself. My name is Paul Rothermel,
supervisor of Landscape & Grounds for the University
of Oklahoma in Norman. We have one of the most beautifully
landscaped campuses in the United States. Our gardens
are unsurpassed in color, texture and beauty and are
only overshadowed by James Scott’s creations. I
have known James for countless years and every landscape
he creates inspires me to try and do better at the University.
His knowledge of plant material, blending of color and
texture is a work of art. To tour his projects is like
walking through a botanical garden, his combination
of plants, texture, color and water features are astounding.
